In devotion to the next level of your body of work.

It seems that people who have bigger visions for what’s possible in the world,

not just for themselves and their family—but for people they’ll never meet

often really struggle with how exactly to get to their next level. A next level that they know is there.

After working with tens of thousands of people on their work,

I believe that the real reason these people struggle

is because they are looking for a path where there isn’t one. They are being called to create a new path. Perhaps a new culture.

If you are being called to create something new in your field, in your lineage, or in the culture itself—your map to get there doesn’t exist.

And so if these kinds of people are looking for a map…a solid career pathway, a certification program, a clear, step-by-step process

they’re not going to find it.

And there’s not a lot of identification of nor support for this kind of person,

in a take-a-test-and-we’ll-tell-you-what-you-can-be industrialized education world.

If this kind of person doesn’t figure out how to create the path they’re called to, they fit in more easily with the dominant culture and its dissatisfaction and chronic health issues. But they are more burdened because of a low-level persistent distress that results in numbing, regret, or increasingly poor health.

The grief and guilt of wasted life.

And when they do address this, when they’re creating the new path they were called to, it’s scary in a life-affirming-thrill kind of way.

They get to experience the relief and expansion that comes from this particular form of courage. It is its own reward. And yes, it’s wonderful that they become a source of leadership and inspiration for the people they most care about.

The peace of contributing to the kind of culture they want for their children.

What I believe these people need most is to stop sourcing their next steps from the existent culture and to stop overriding the body, so that they can increase their connection to their Self. (The Universe/God/Source). And it really seems to make a difference to have companionship in a way of being that is deeply counter-culture.
